Peptides
What is it?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids used in skincare to signal collagen production, deliver bioactive fragments, or otherwise support skin structure and anti-aging goals.
What does it do?
Commonly used to help support collagen production and improve signs of skin aging. A randomized double-blind controlled trial found a novel cyclized hexapeptide outperformed retinol on skin aging measures with better stability and permeability, and a separate split-face trial found a collagen-III multi-peptide serum improved outcomes when combined with collagen injection therapy for photoaging.
